Two forecasts are given for the rand. The first forecast is from Sake the business publication of Beeld, Die Burger and Volksblad. The second is not truly a consensus forecast and is taken from the JP Morgan Chase currency forecasts as reported every quarter in The Economist. The forecast in Sake is done from a South African perspective and forms part of 11 variables that 30 economists forecast on a monthly basis.
